The armored Ford Transit is the most-popular cash-in-transit platform we build — roughly 60 percent of our CIT deliveries are Transits. The reason is fleet economics: low total operating cost, easy global service, three roof heights and three wheelbase options for fitting different cargo configurations, and a platform that’s in production almost everywhere in the world. We build the armored Transit in BR4 (the dominant CIT standard) and BR6 (for higher-threat operating routes) at our Vaughan, Ontario facility.
CIT operators have an unforgiving cost profile: vehicles need to start, run and earn revenue every day for 10-plus years. Our armored Ford Transit is engineered around that reality. Standard build specs are 100 percent fleet-compatible — meaning every Transit we deliver to a CIT operator is identical, parts-interchangeable and serviceable by any Ford dealer worldwide. We offer fleet-wide standardisation programs so that an operator running 20 Transits has identical builds across all 20, with shared spare-parts inventory and centralised maintenance support from our Vaughan facility.
Every Exec Armor build is engineered to the protection level appropriate to your operating environment. The most-popular package for this platform is CEN BR6.
| Protection Level | Stops | Weight Added (kg) | Armoring Package (CAD) |
|---|---|---|---|
| CEN BR4 / NIJ IIIA | Handgun rounds — standard for most CIT operations | 500 – 650 | $70,000 – $100,000 |
| CEN BR6 / NIJ III | 7.62×51mm NATO — for higher-threat CIT routes | 750 – 900 | $140,000 – $185,000 |

A standard Exec Armor CIT Ford Transit includes: multi-layer ballistic steel envelope (BR4 or BR6) covering the entire driver cab and cargo compartment, transparent armor glass on all windows (21mm for BR4, 36mm for BR6), reinforced doors with heavy-duty hinges and forced-entry-resistant latches, a driver-cab isolation bulkhead with talk-through grille and pass-through cash slot, dual-compartment cargo with reinforced floor and safe-bolt anchor points, run-flat tires standard, upgraded brakes and suspension calibrated to the armored mass, GPS tracking, multi-channel video DVR with 30-day cloud sync, emergency siren and PA system, and a panic-button activation for the security alarm.
Optional CIT-specific add-ons include a vault-grade safe (CAD $8,000 to $25,000), reinforced cargo-floor with anchor rails for cash tubs (CAD $5,000 to $12,000), additional GPS and radio integrations for fleet command-and-control, smoke screen and electronic counter-measures, and operator-specific liveries painted in our paint booth. Yes. Fleet pricing kicks in at orders of 3+ identical units delivered on a coordinated build schedule. Discount levels: 3-5 units gets approximately 5-8 percent off list, 6-12 units approximately 10-12 percent off, 13+ units approximately 13-15 percent off. Fleet builds also include standardised documentation packages (ballistic certificates, build specs, parts manuals, maintenance schedules) at no charge, plus complimentary on-site driver training for the entire fleet at delivery.
Fleet orders also unlock our institutional service contract — a fixed-price annual maintenance agreement covering all scheduled service for the entire fleet, with a guaranteed 48-hour parts turnaround anywhere in the world and a single point of contact for service across all units. Most of our CIT-operator clients elect this contract because it makes annual operating costs predictable. The institutional service contract typically runs CAD $4,500 to $7,500 per vehicle per year for BR4 Transit fleets, depending on annual mileage.
Yes. We ship to every major CIT operating market: Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, the Philippines, India, Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya and across the GCC. Our logistics team handles the full chain: flatbed transport from Vaughan to the port of Halifax, Saint John or Vancouver depending on destination; enclosed ocean freight in a marine container; customs clearance at origin and destination using our pre-translated documentation set; port handling; in-country flatbed delivery; and final driver familiarisation by a senior Exec Armor specialist on-site.
For CIT-permit-regulated jurisdictions (Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, the Philippines, India), we prepare all the documentation your local registration authority requires — ballistic certificates, chain-of-custody documents, end-user statements, original build specifications — translated, notarised and apostilled as needed. We have experienced staff who understand the import and registration processes in over 40 countries. Total transit time from Vaughan to most international destinations is 3 to 5 weeks ocean-freight, or 1 week for air-freight (cost premium applies).
